Lena Dirsäter was born in Jönköping, a city in southern Sweden. She always loved to write. Diaries and short stories but also postcards and letters. As an au-pair in London, England she wrote letters to her family back home, which were read out loud on Saturday afternoons to the family members. Her first novel Det hände i Toscana – It Happened in Tuscany was launched in 2016. It takes place in the charming village of Limite Sull ´Arno. San Miniato and Florence, Vinci and Castelsardo are important places in the book.
Nowadays Lena spends half the year in Italy and the other half in Sweden. Tuscany is her favorite region to which she always return. But her curiousity is large about the whole of Italy, including the islands. So far Ischia, Capri and Sardinia are the islands she paid visits to. Lena is longing and excited to discover Sicily next. Wish her a good trip!
